The only known photo of the Princess Theater, look closely for the marquee.
Princess Theater 118 N Main St. Nashville, Arkansas
It is believed that this site is where the Princess Theatre opened by July of 1913. A Sanborn Fire Insurance Map from March of 1914 lists this location as “motion pictures”. It was still open in December of 1921. Sometime after it operated as the New Theatre until March 28, 1939. The New Theatre was owned by H.H. Baker and R.V. McGinnis. It was closed for one week for redecorating and referred to as the New Liberty Theatre until the renovated Gem Theatre reopened as the Howard Theatre in June 1939. From then, it was the new location of the Liberty theater.
